Precision Agriculture Consultant – Justin Mortlock

Growing up on a farm at Kerang, Victoria, the son of a stock & station agent, Justin left home and attained a Bachelor of Computing at LaTrobe University, Bendigo.  With a 20 year career behind him covering mining, banking, agribusiness, milling and manufacturing systems, it was time to head back to the country.  (You can take the boy out of the country, but not the country out of the boy).

Exposure to Precision Agriculture guidance systems led Justin to study the Graduate Certificate of Precision Agriculture at the University of New England, in Armidale.  Combining the knowledge of computational and data systems, with data gathering technologies available to the farming industry and Precision Agriculture processes, Justin is filling a gap in the Precision Farming industry.

Justin works at building relationships between farmers, agronomists, advisers, machinery dealers and others, to ensure that the Precision Agriculture data and processes can be best leveraged and understood to enable opportunities to be identified and leveraged for enhanced farming efficiencies.
